Splatter

  1. In the ripple we dropped a water balloon 3 stories onto the ground. We found that when the balloon hits the ground that the potential energy is so great that the balloon bursts. When it reached the ground the grounds force acting on the balloon was so great that the balloon turned into a mud bomb. the balloon was not strong enough to bounce so it created a huge crater in the ground.

  2. This is physics because when the water balloon was dropped from the 3rd story window it causes the water balloons force and momentum to grow. When the water ballon meets the ground it causes this massive splatter because the water balloons energy releases to the ground and spreads through out the grounds surface. The ground splatters like this because of the sudden impact from the water balloons force.

  3. When the glove full of water and soap falls three stories and hits the mud on the ground. The transfer of energy causes the mud to splatter everywhere, including Mr. Bartletts window. The three story fall converts potential energy to kinetic energy which is released thene the glove hits the ground.

  4. The glove filled with water exploded upon impact with the ground. This was due to the transfer of energy from the glove to the ground. The energy was caused by the potential energy to be turned into kinetic energy.

  5. When the gloves filled with water and soapy water where dropped three stories down they exploded. When all the energy gained from falling finally made contact with a sturdy force. When the balloon exploded it spread ground material such as dirt along with many other things. This had a shrapnel affect on the building.
